About Cottonwood Heights

Cottonwood Heights is a newer upscale community nestled along the east bench of the Salt Lake Valley adjacent to Sandy, Holladay, and Murray and in between the entrances of both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Cottonwood was part of the Salt Lake City MSA and was incorporated in 2005. With a population of over 33,000, most of the housing inventory listed on the MLS is upscale and newer construction with few parcels of development ground for new construction and new home subdivisions. The commercial development has been mostly restricted to the areas north of the ridge upon which most of the suburban housing has been built. Because of the lack of available development ground in Cottonwood Heights, not much new construction has taken place recently.
